    • Old TV Shows I Miss
      • The Mary Taylor Moore Show...I loved this show, the last time I watched it-- it was on Nick at Nite. Then they used to play Welcome Back Kotter, with John Travolta...a hilarious show. Three's Company...too funny a show. Happy Days...Fonzi and the gang cracked me up. I Love Lucy, an old time favorite. Laverne and Shirley...very cute. The Monsters...absolutely loved Herman Monster.

I can still catch some of these once in a blue moon, but they're hard to find. Oh and by the way I'm not even as old as these shows are...gosh, all of these were already out when my parents weren't even thinking of having me.

    • A Lesson I Wish I Had Learned Earlier
      • Parents do not always know best, but when they do, they do. There hasn't been just one lessong I wished I'd learned earlier, there have been too many to even list. I think the overall lesson has been mainly even though parents may not always know best (although they always think they do) that one must always listen to what they have to say-- whether one agrees or doesn't. Listening won't hurt, instead it will help view things from a different perspective and help to make better decisions.

    • What I'm Irrational About
      • predictably irrational

I have issues with people who do not have the same responsibilities I have, yet find all the excuses in the world for not getting something done. Seriously, how many times can something happen to someone every time something is due?

My thought has always been if I am a working mom (very demanding job believe it or not), a wife, and a part time student, I expect anyone who is NOT any of these three things to do a better job than I do and not come up with a list of unheard of excuses as to why something didn't get done. I am a very patient person, but this is something that makes me lose any kind of respect for someone, and makes me evade them like the plague and do everything possible to not have to work with them ever again.

Noise...chattering...gossip... Yes I am guilty of all three; however, when I am concentrating on something I don't like any kind of noise, chattering or gossip. Especially at work, the chattering and the gossip can eat up a good chunk of my day, not because I'm the one gossiping, but because others walk over or call me to complain about something or someone. I work from home now there is no one walking over to my cube, but when a phone call comes in and it is from that certain someone, it just so happens I miss it. All for the sake of being productive.

    • If I Had Six Months to Kill
      • What wouldn't I do with a six month break from work or school (yes I do both) is the question. I would focus in my writing that's what I'd do. I have so many projects in my mental list, and jotted down, as well as others already underway. My real job can be very demanding, and having a higher education too is a MUST these days in such a competitive workforce, it is sad but those two have taken priority. Aside from having a family and keeping up with the demands and the attention my family needs.

However if I could get a six month break, paid and all, that us all I'd need to finish all my "always wanted to do" projects. Let the outcome be whatever it'd be, I wouldn't worry about it, such as becoming published or anything like that. For me I'd be very pleased with knowing I'd completed what I always wanted to do, and I'd be able to cross off my list one of the many "what if's" I must do before I leave this world. I have quite a bit but I have to admit I pride myself in being an overachiever in some things. I'm sure I'm not the only one in this world, am I?
