- Leaving on a jet plane...
-
He broke up with me 2 days before I left for Argentina. We said we were going to work on things, but then, when he met me in the airport right before my plane left, he told me he thought we should take some space and time for ourselves...when I was in line to get on the plane.
Needless to say, he has not support me in the least, which has been really hard, being in a new place and having a broken heart. But on the bright side, I am going to come out of this breakup and new experience a completely different, much stronger person!

Together we would create a perfect relationship in which physical differences, lifelong goals, and long distance would never be an issue.

I listened to this song on a 17 km hike up a mountain in Patagonia when I was really struggling through the break up. It helps remind me that I'm in South America for 6 months and nothing should ever bring me down.
The Man Who Can't Be Moved by The Script
My ex used to play this for me when I was the one wanting to break up. Now that we've switched roles, it helps remind me that underneath all the problems and things we have piled upon ourselves, someday, if we both get back to that place we were, we can have something again. It also asks the question, "How can I move on when I'm still in love with you?" which is important for me to think about...
