      • I don't have any nicknames, but one of the dogs we had growing up was a dalmation that we named Ben Ben ('spotty' in mandarin chinese), but I grew up in Oklahoma where our neighbors and friends were all white trash hicks, so they didn't know how to deal with a tonal chinese name for a dog. So, we ended up just calling him Bennie. ;-)
