- In response to: "What was the comfort food you enjoyed most growing up?" I used to eat vanilla icing straight out of the tub, because I was pretending that I was Winnie The Pooh and the icing was my honey. I would always eat it in under a table, because that was my cave.

- My Must-Sing-Aloud Song
-
Lately, I've been listening to a lot of Elton John. It's impossible for me to sit quietly and listen to his song "Tiny Dancer." I absolutely have to sing along. It's so difficult to not sing, when I'm in a super quiet place, with my headphones in. All I want to do is burst out in song. I eventually realize that I can't handle the suppressed desire to sing, so I just have switch it to another song.

Fuck that.

My mom has given me so much good advice over the years. Whenever I was overwhelmed or stressed, she would calmly say, "Now Emmy, remember? How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time." No matter how impossible something seems, it can be accomplished, one step at a time.
