      • In response to: "What was the comfort food you enjoyed most growing up?" I used to eat vanilla icing straight out of the tub, because I was pretending that I was Winnie The Pooh and the icing was my honey. I would always eat it in under a table, because that was my cave.

      • Elton John 1603720018

Lately, I've been listening to a lot of Elton John. It's impossible for me to sit quietly and listen to his song "Tiny Dancer." I absolutely have to sing along. It's so difficult to not sing, when I'm in a super quiet place, with my headphones in. All I want to do is burst out in song. I eventually realize that I can't handle the suppressed desire to sing, so I just have switch it to another song.

    • How I Feel About Swear Words, Goshdarnit
      • I cuss all the time, but I don't do it on purpose. It's mostly involuntary. Obviously, I really don't give a shit when other people swear around me. It doesn't offend me at all. On the other hand, if someone else is offended by my language, then I usually just try to avoid them, because I know I can't control my cussing, and honestly, I'm not going to try to control it just to impress someone. Fuck that.

      • Fried pickles. Sounds gross, right? That's what I thought, until I tried some for the first time, yesterday, and to my surprise, they were delicious. I felt like I was going to have a heart-attack at any second, but they were great.

      • I lost my Never Shout Never shirt. I don't remember the last time I wore it, and I've looked everywhere. I loved that shirt.

    • The Best Advice I Ever Received
      • My mom has given me so much good advice over the years. Whenever I was overwhelmed or stressed, she would calmly say, "Now Emmy, remember? How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time." No matter how impossible something seems, it can be accomplished, one step at a time.
