I have mastered time travel.
Beginning on January 1 of last year, I was able to move one day into the future every 24 hours.

I would first eliminate campaign ads. Candidates would not be allowed to purchase any commercial time, put up signs, leave door flyers, or make robo-calls at dinner time (or any other time). Let them debate, civilly, and stop pointing fingers at each other.

"You know what they say about Manatees." I gave her what I thought was a sexy smile.
"What's a manatee?" she said, blinking those gorgeous eyes at me. At that moment, I was the envy of every man in the restaurant. "Is that one of those things they have in Texas? You know, those -- I forget. Like an armoire? An armadillo?"
And just that quickly, I lost interest. How could I even think of dating someone who didn't know anything about aquatic mammals living in shallow coastal waters and adjacent rivers of the tropical Atlantic?
"Check, please," I said.
