Pickpocket Macro May 24, 20103

I got picked (pickpocketed) getting on Euro Rail in Italy. It was classic - right out of the book. I had my shoulder bag cross body; reached up to grab the grab bar as I stepped onto the step. There was a young girl in front of me who stopped on the top step and another young girl carrying a baby behind me (she had worked her way in between me and my traveling companion). Jostle - jostle. As soon as we sat down in our compartment, I don't know how, but I knew almost instantly that I'd been picked. My friend took off running through the train to try and catch them, but they were long gone. I was lucky - I only had about 30 euro - but they got my credit cards! AAARrrrrgh - traveling in Europe without a credit card certainly put a crimp on my purchases!
