Summer of 2009 I went to Disneyland for the first time since my childhood.

I walked up to the main gates and saw the flower and rock garden arranged like Mickey Mouse just in front of the train station. I walked through the archway up through the main town square and saw Mickey and Goofy taking pictures. Revisited Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion. For the first time in my life, rode Star Tours. I ate a churro. Got my picture taken outside Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

Now that's magical.

Best place I know to dig clams, there used to be a small little coffee shop right next to the beach road that had these amazing blackberry scones, then in towards town was a Pig & Pantry that had amazing omelets for breakfast and pretty good clam chowder.

I got a new monitor for my computer and wanted to run 1920x1080 resolution, I knew my video card would support it, but the option wasn't coming up. So I called Microsoft Technical Support. They put me on hold for with no music, just the same guy repeating the same phrase over and over again with no breaks. "Thanks for calling, we're terribly busy, you'll have to wait". After 25 minutes, the call dropped. I called again, picked the same options, after 25 minutes, the call dropped. Third time, I went a different path through the IVR options, pretending that I didn't have existing technical support warranty and would be willing to pay for it. After 6 minutes, I call on the phone with a human person. for 56 minutes, very limited hold music, just the same guy saying the same thing over and over again. turns out my video card supports up to 1600x1200 over VGA, if I want 1920x1080 I need to use DVI.

the goat has a naturally dense skull, so the boy would need to get behind the goat where it's more vulnerable. don't see that happening, since the goat won't charge him like a bull. a couple of head butts from the goat, this fight's over.

saw it in the theater and didn't find it that appealing to begin with. I was going with a bunch of friends who could see the hesitation on my face and they just kept repeated to me "pretend you're 10 years old, pretend you're 10 years old".

when Chamber of Secrets came out on DVD, a friend of mine rented it and brought it over. His enthusiasm for the movie and book series won me over. another viewing of Sorcerer's Stone renewed my interest. I'm a fan.

Fry's is only good for two things
1) Computer Hardware parts
2) Low advertised prices for price matching at Best Buy

I don't buy computer parts anymore or try to build my own, so I would only shop at Fry's once a year maybe. And I don't buy DVDs or even Blurays, so price matching isn't that attractive. I used to want Fry's, but I grew out of that.

I was the first person I know to have an mp3 player hooked up to my car stereo. It was a Rio PMP300. 32 MB capacity, expanded with an additional 32 MB SD card. I would reencode my mp3s down from 128k to 64k in order to fit twice as many on there, which was still only about 50 songs. It interfaced through the parallel port (pre-usb) and took a single AA battery.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rio_PMP300

I kept it velcro'd to the dashboard of my truck. It died one hot day when the AA battery exploded inside the player.
