If I were in a mood to spend wisely, I'd put the $1000 aside in the account I'm using to accumulate enough money to buy my next car in cash, or maybe convert it into new chairs to replace the ones in the dining room that are falling apart. If I were in a mood to spend frivolously, I'd probably use it to build a new computer and perhaps purchase some good whisky.

At some point long about chapter 5, I realized that my soul was being crushed under the sheer weight of the sexism going down here. I have a real problem with assumptions that all men are a thing, or all women are a thing, and the idea of presenting single-gender space as the answer to all the world's problems is totally repellent to me. I'm not sure I'm actually capable of finishing this book. Perhaps after some serious head trauma.
