- If I Were a Teacher

I'd teach manners & simple common courtesy. It would be a mandatory requirement for everyone. A refresher course would also be required. It could be combined with drivers license or photo id renewal for those not inclined to driving.

- Is Chivalry Dead?
-
Chivalry is about generosity, courteous behavior and protecting the weak.
I saw a mother in the grocery not too long ago with her two small daughters. Her daughters were still dressed in school uniforms and she appeared to be dressed in business apparel. Mom is talking on the cellphone to someone about a friend who'd been out on a date.
One of the daughters is tugging at her trying to tell her something about school. The little girl finally manages to get Mom to pay attention. "SHUT UP I'M ON THE PHONE." is Mom's angry response. Daughter looks confused and hurt.
I heard another Mom say STOP IT STOP IT and BE QUIET before I actually saw her. I looked up and rather than see an unruly child I saw a baby, barely a toddler at best, sitting in the seat of the buggy jabbering and drooling and trying to reach back for something. When he saw me he grinned and Mom fussed some more.
When we can't even speak kindly to our children, chivalry doesn't have a chance

- Keeping Abreast of the Situation
-
I was telling a story about a conversation I had with my boys about girls with breast implants. I pointed to some young women and said, "If they've resorted to fake boobs at their age you're looking at high maintenance down the road. Stay away from them." I was being half smart assy as I'm prone to be. Turns out one of the women I was telling the story to had...yep. oops

A drive along the coastline. Roll down the windows. Open the sun roof. Feel the warmth of the sun. Pick up the first breath of the salt air. Let peace and calm wash over you.

Young's Double Chocolate Stout
I read about this in a book first, then saw it on a menu. I asked the waiter about it and he said, "Go for it!". So I did.
Start with a good Chocolate Stout - I prefer Young's Double Chocolate. Add a scoop (or two) of a premium chocolate ice cream and you've got a dessert sure to make you smile!
It's like a Black Cow Float, only mo' betta!
