      • Internet Splat Map

        I get my news a few different ways, but the main way is through RSS feeds, podcasts, and twitter/status.net. I love the speed of which the news is delivered through those mediums, and I feel up-to-the-minute with things.

        Then again, it can get kind of crazy keeping up with it all, which means I have to go through and audit what I'm reading/listening to and figure out what I'm getting out of each piece of media.

        I've offloaded some of my RSS feeds to twitter, with a list called "news" to easily digest it all. This way, I can go through those tweets when I want (a couple times a day) and they don't clutter up my main feed.

    • My Favorite Forms of Creative Expression

      • Fountain pen, cheap

        I like to write. It's therapeutic to write about what's bothering me. It's great to create a story. It's even fun to analyse things. I love technical writing the best.

        I also like to draw and paint. I haven't been doing as much art as I like, but I enjoy it, and I hope to keep creating art as long as I live.

        I haven't been driving in awhile, but a couple years ago, I drove up to Ironwood for an interview, then went to Marquette. I think the drive from Ironwood to Marquette has to be one of the most beautiful drives I've ever done.

        The second most beautiful drive,which I've driven many times, would have to be from Saginaw to Alpena, along the Lake Huron coast. Going through Tawas along the lake is amazing. I love the scenery.

        Michigan is an amazing state, and I'm so glad to live here, even though job prospects are kind of not really there.
