      • It's small, there are seats (no mosh-crush) and they get good artists to perform there. There are other venues that I like for various reasons - Candlelight Café, the Gorge Amphitheatre, Waterfront Park... but Aladdin is my favorite

    • Why I gave up on "Quicksilver, Neal Stephenson"

      • I actually really liked the book, but it was such a dense story and so long, I set it aside to deal with some homework-intense classes, and never resumed reading it.

        I'll probably go back to it eventually, but am hoping there's a good entry on the plot at wikipedia so I can remember what the story is about without re-reading the first 350 pages.
