        This is one of those things I should be embarrassed about, but for some reason I'm not. I love fast food. Pretty much anything that comes from a drive thru says comfort food for me. Since living here, I've become partial to the horror that is Chik Fil-A, but really I'll eat anywhere. I recently had that KFC bowl of mashed potatoes, chicken pieces, cheese, gravy, and corn. I have dreamed about it since. McDonald's fries are a dietary category for me. I definitely supersize.

    • The Clown of God

      • I've loved "The Clown of God" ever since I was a little kid. At first, it was just about the cool illustrations. As I got older, it became about something else, something more. It's about doing what you love, even if it isn't the easiest path. It's about finding something in yourself that makes people happy. It's about aging gracefully and dying less so. It's a horribly sad, beautifully told and illustrated, mind-boggling good book.

        And it's a religious story. As I've gotten still older, it has "changed my mind" in that it has allowed me to accept that I don't have to be a of a given faith to accept, embrace, enjoy, and learn from the stories of that tradition.
