A year, difficult yet wonderful, that I have liked very much.

Rose

January: I filled out college applications.
February: I bought my own Valentine's candy.
March: I took many photographs.
April: I watched a rose grow.
May: I rethought my plans, and turned another year.
June: I finished another successful semester of Japanese.
July: I danced regularly, for the last time in a while.
August: I went on a long road-trip.
September: I adored my math & English classes.
October: I read and explored "Frankenstein".
November: I fell in love.
December: I enjoyed wintertime more than I have in a long time.

Flowers, and out doorsy stuff...monuments, memorials, trees, rivers, flowers, fields; stop signs, cars, benches, trashcans, shoes, traffic signals, buildings, houses...and people...

I like to get the focus just right, with a contrasting blurred section, or a close-up with lots of detail, or a panorama sweep, or really anything outdoors that I'll come back to in a year and use to illustrate a story or a poem. My own picture stock.

I'm better at dates and birthdays than names, but I don't think I'm bad at them per se, either.

No Name Road

I visualise the name, in my mind's eye. I don't always remember, but I don't necessarily forget, either. And once I connect a name firmly to a face, I can still recall it years later...
