    • Washington Post Headlines -- "Get away car found at Crescent Beach"
      • While going through some old books, I found an article clipping that triggered the memories of my kidnapping.

        ~~~~~
        Blindfolded and harshly shoved into the back of a car, confusion overwhelmed me. To be witness to a bank robbery had not been part of my day's plans. Two of the armed thieves sat on either side of me in the back of the get away car. I waited in silence, in fear. I could not see what I ought to fear, but the air was thick with hostility.
        The driver pealed out.I heard peoples screams as we disappeared around the corner. part of me wished for the cops to show up, but then what would my captors do to me? My stomach heaved. I tried to squelch the rising nausea.
        "Please, I need a bag now."
        I heard a grim chuckle. "Don't even bother."
        Bother what, I thought. Didn't they understand. It wasn't like I wanted to throw up.
        "I need a bag. Now--" As a dam being broke through, chicken and carrots from my lunch came hurtling up. "Please," I gasped.
        "Crikey! This is all you'll get."
        I felt the sun on my face. I winced and opened my eyes, but the brightness shocked them to closure again. People milled about me. I heard many questions. Why were they asking me? I only wanted answers. What was I doing here? Why? What happened to me? Alone on the sand, surrounded by a crowd of people, confused by the cameras and chatter. I passed into oblivion once more.
        ~~~~~

        I closed the books, hiding the clipping among the pages, trying to shut out the memories that surged forth. I didn't want to remember any more. I was still hunted by the robbers who wrecked the get away car at Crescent beach. They left me for dead...until the article came out telling of my survival. Now I lived in more fear than on the day they had taken me.
        I pushed the books aside. If only...if only memories could be so easily repressed.

    • My wonderful friend
      • Mystery man
        Surprisingly enough, I am great friends with a famous person. We have known each other for many years, played together, laughed together, and fought together. Unfortunately, he has one small problem. You see, he doesn't know he is famous and thus I do not know which friend it is.
