she couldn't hold on for much longer.
she was laying there struggling for every breath with all the energy her tired body could manage. all of a sudden that peace the one they say passes all understanding flooded over her entire body giving it the rest if so desperately needed. she raised her arm and waved goodbye to her mother who was standing the end of the hospital bed. to her mother she said goodbye i have to go now. as soon as the words had left her mouth she was enveloped in that unearthly peace. the peace that does surpass all understanding.
wait, i just realized it might not have been the scariest moment for me but the others around me for sure.
