- I can explain why I am who I am...

Someone has gotten me very curious about my star sign over the past few days. So, in true Gemini style, my curiosity got the better of me and I have done some research into the characteristics of a true Gemini.
Traditional Gemini traits include – adaptability and versatility / communicative and witty / intellectual and eloquent / youthful and lively. On the “dark” side, Geminis tend to be nervous and tense / superficial and inconsistent / cunning and inquisitive. Except for the three things – superficial, inconsistent and cunning – I have to agree that these traits are definitely all true and form an integral part of who I am.
Geminis also tend to be elusive and complex, happy, imaginative and enthusiastic. We are known to be brutally honest and straightforward, but can also sulk like small children! Geminis are affectionate, courteous, kind, generous and thoughtful towards the poor and suffering. Geminis have a keen, intuitive, sometimes brilliant intelligence and love cerebral challenges. But, Geminis are not known for concentration. We are too mentally agile and energetic to stay focused on one thing for too long! Although we have a voracious appetite for knowledge, we dislike the labour of learning. Because of this, Geminis grasp things with a mental dexterity that is very strong analytically. Geminis tend to take mental and intellectual risks, losing ourselves in too many projects until it becomes too difficult to focus.
Geminis become deeply involved emotionally and the involvement is usually very intense. Geminis like to be flirtatious, enjoy intrigue and the excitement of the chase. Geminis – even at their worst – are never dull. There is usually playfulness below the surface and we can be brilliant conversationalists. Geminis like talking, novelty and the unusual, variety in life and reading. We dislike formal learning, being in a rut, mental inaction and being alone.
Let me tell you – being a Gemini is awesome…!!! And that is the reason that I am who I am...!!!

- 'Faith like Potatoes' - A Literary Masterpiece

What is a book without a message...??? Nothng more than a collection of words that will be forgotten as soon as the last page is turned. Surely we hunger for more than just that...???
The life story of Angus Buchan, a South African evangelist. This book is very easy to read, but it has a very profound effect on your emotional and spiritual bring. It fills you with renewed faith and allows you to believe once again that miracles really do happen. And by reading it whilst enjoying the beauty of your natural surroundings only makes the enriching experience more intense. Very uplifting, without being at all "preachy"...

- Wise Words...
-
Often you are told something by someone... given a piece of advice... and only years later do you recognise the significance of those sage words...
I was told... over and over again... from a very early age... "Always consider your actions carefully, because every tiny thing you do in this life affects someone else. You may not see it immediately and you may not be acquainted with that person, but your actions will have an effect on their lives. Always make sure your actions are positive, so that any reaction will be positive, too!" My mother is a very intelligent woman... these words have stayed with me all my life... and I try hard to maintain a positive energy around me...

- There's a Rhino in my Back Garden...
-
If I could tame a wild animal... which one would it be...???
Without a doubt... I have to admit that I would love to have a rhino grazing in my back garden...!!! On the other hand... I have to confess that I am at my happiest when I am outdoors... somewhere in the bushveld on a game farm or a reserve, filled with an abundance of wildlife. To try and tame any of these beautiful creatures seems so unjust when they should really be roaming the open grasslands... Instead of having a tame rhino in my backyard, I think I would rather go to where they are... where I am able to sit and watch them... and photograph them... Rhino... elephant... lion... leopard... cheetah... buffalo... But the rhino has got to be the most majestic... so gigantic... a pre-historic creature... yet so graceful and composed...

- I smoke... so I am Depraved and Wanton...!!!
-
They say smoking is a "vice" and other words for "vice" include depravity, wantonness, decadence, immorality and wickedness...
So... because I am a smoker... does that make me evil... depraved... wanton... immoral...??? Mmm... probably in the eyes of a certain sector of the population the answer would be "yes"... another sector would probably not have an opinion and a third sector - smokers, of course - would say "Hell NO! Pass the matches, please!" I have tried on numerous occasions to quit this habit... and yes, that is what it is... a habit... but quitting is not easy... well, not unless your mindset is right... and... tough for those who don't like it... at the moment I still enjoy my ciggies... and that means I will continue to be a part of the community of smokers of this world...
