        I hear the raindrops pattering on my windows and imagine their ghostly shadows consuming the contents of my room
        When I walk outside, the refreshing feeling of water kisses my neck
        The smell of wet pavement weighs heavy on my lungs
        My soaked clothing sends chills of satisfaction all over my body
        Suddenly, a ray of sunlight bursts through the storm clouds
        and warms my soul...

        What I wouldn't give to be able to live this day again, but with view it with my own eyes instead of absorbing the beauty of the storm

        The road to Offen 2

        The sweet smell of fresh, suburban California air gracing my nostrils... the windows down and death metal softly playing in the background, its rhythmic beats calming my nerves... my shy friend opening up to me, showing me the controls of the car and each step and circumstance to use each control. I will never forget that day, because not only did I learn a much-needed skill in today's world, but I also bonded on a different level with a person who had difficulty opening up otherwise.

        and how can you mend a broken heart

        Honestly, it is a day full of bad memories for me. It resurrects all ghosts of the past and forces me to remember all the good, bad, and ugly parts of relationships. I just want a little something each year; however, it is as if I'm not important. I know, I'm a female, and I'm making a bigger deal out of some day that was just named by someone just like me. Despite that, it is nice to receive even a little reminder of how much I am "loved."
