    • The Pokey Little Puppy brings me back

      • This little fella reminds me of the first stand-off between my dad and me. I had dropped it on the floor, and Dad had told me to pick it up because since books were a man's best friend we should respect them. So, I looked him in the eye and stepped on it... He wore my butt out!!!

    • Truthfully, I'm not sure what it is that I do, but

      • I like to tell people that I mold young minds before they mold on their own. Really, I like to think of myself as a creative consultant to 11 and 12-year-olds. They come to me because the law requires them to, and I help them transform from semi-communicative drones who ironically regurgitate everything they hear from anyone who they perceive to be in a position of authority, whether or not they fundamentally agree, to marginally older almost-young-adults who won't believe anything we tell them and seem to only want to learn everything, "the hard way."

        Yeah; I teach middle school... for now.
