    • My favorite place to hear music: Chain Reaction

      • Inexpensive tickets, enthusiastic crowds, no bad views... sure, it's an all-ages venue, but that just gives you time to go out with your friends afterward, since the curfew is pretty early for the venue. There's at least one good band per week, at Chain Reaction, so that's also a plus. Sound quality isn't all that bad, either.

        I like to sit on the dividing wall, with my camera, to stay out of the way of the kiddos on the floor and to get good shots. It's a great place to just chill with friends and enjoy decent live music, if you're into punk, metal, screamo, hip hop, or a variety of other fun stuff.

    • In defense of my vice: Fall Out Boy

      • Fall Out Boy

        Fall Out Boy... I don't remember when I first heard them, but it was several years ago and right before they started getting play on MTV. The lyrics are fairly clever for being as angsty as they are, the melodies stick in my head like Gorilla Glue, and the songs are way too well-orchestrated for pop music. I can't and won't ever quit listening to this band. That's right, I'm in my late 20s and enjoy listening to Fall Out Boy. Deal with it!
