      • Love is by all means an unconditional affair. It is not a matter of what you can get out of it, but, it is what you can offer.

    • The Most Moving Movie
      • The conflict between faith and reason which is the theme of this movie, is in my opinion, sets this movie apart from the rest. One can clearly see why some of us lose faith in something we hold to be the ultimate belief. This movie also shows why some of us hold on to faith with such zeal. Now, whether you belong to which side of the coin, it does not really matter because our personal direction defines us. Yes, or maybe not really at all. Science and religion is such a conflict that it polarizes both sides equally with delicate danger. For me, it does not really matter which side you belong to, because it is still your character that is tempered by either your subscription to faith or reason that will hold true. Maybe. Why does faith and reason interests me at all? I once said that, sometimes, it takes faith to get us through and sometimes, and only sometimes, after losing it and finding it back. Sometimes, being at both sides will make your head clearer but maybe it depends if you wake up on the right side of the bed. Still don't get my drift? I still don't get it too.

    • The Beginning of My Memoir
      • I looked out the window and saw that dawn is just about. Exactly a half past five. Seems like everything is so automatic. Yesterday, two days ago, a week ago. It is not that it comes natural, but there is a reason why I start my days as such. There is something about what is about to come. I heard my mother's footsteps faintly outside my room. I then wondered, is she drinking coffee or fixing up the kitchen stuff I left on the sink the previous evening? Maybe yes, or not at all. I heard her go back to her room as her door gently shuts. I stood up, now feeling more awake. I plugged the grinder and saw the coffee beans dance around the blade. Its not a nice feeling for them I know. I wished the water is crisper as it should be when I gathered some in my pot. This ritual is becoming more unavoidable. Yes I know, it is my fix. This morning's coffee will do. I went black to my room, pushed a button and heard the disk spinning fast. Not really a pleasant sound at all, but, I just remembered it started everything. This leap of faith, this leap of faith.

    • My music festival musical lineup. Live in Cubao or anywhere in between.
      • Wilco
This band represents all there is about rock Americana. I wish that I will get to watch them perform live. Talk about irony, right?

        Broken Social Scene
The greatest musical collective of all time. One good reason to migrate to Canada.

        Spoon
Texan rock sound landed them as the best band of the decade.

        Radiohead
If you are into rock and dont know them, then, there is seriously, seriously something wrong with you.

        Bon Iver
Pronounced as Bon EE-ver with a French twang. They drown you with a sonic texture that will make you ask for more.

        The Autumn Defense
Wilco's boys side project is continuing to write musical notes toward greatness.

        Bob Dylan
My ninong needs no further introduction. Really.

        The National
They made the song "Fake Empire" as one the decade's best, but, there is absolutely nothing fake about Matt Berninger and the Devendorf and Dessner brothers.

        Sigur Rós
My favorite band from Iceland. I've been listening to them for years and still can't figure out their words but it goes to show that music transcends language.

        Rivermaya
I need to burn people at the stake at the end of the show. It will pleasure that it's going to be them. Rain, rain go away!

    • They say you can't take it with you. If you could, what's one thing you'd bring?
      • This is a tough call. I think I will bring my journal with me. During a eventful period some years ago, writing in my journal made me look back, which in turn, made me look ahead. When I read my beaten up journal, I read the pages randomly and remembered where I was when I wrote the entries. There were pictures of Lia and my class inside that reminded me of good memories. I wrote a lot also about a relationship I was in that time and it ended when the last pages were about to be spent. Journals record events that you normally would forget and I am thinking of continuing writing musings because I stopped after completing. Moleskine is my journal of choice by the way. Its a nice thing to continue doing especially when I told myself to keep my options open. Now, since this prompt says that I only need to bring one thing, what am I going to use to write something on my journal with?
