        Nuns crossing Ponte Sant'Angelo

Sister Damian. She was wonderful. Taught singing and choral skills at Blessed Sacrament grade school. She made me feel talented and showed that hard work was as much an instrument as God-given talent, and you had to be disciplined to develop your voice to its highest potential. I loved her, and I love singing. She was a jewel. At a later reunion one nun told us she left the convent, because she was too talented to stay.

We were disappointed in the Grand Canyon. Really felt the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone in Yellowstone Park was more breautiful. It was truly a wondrous piece from God's art book, but the Taj Mahal looks much more impressive. Depends much on a personal perspective for sure, both fine pieces of majestic art, though. Just had heard so much about the Grand Canyon and it kind of did not live up to the hype.

        Charity recycling

I believe in Karma. You can call it fate, but that implies predestination, where Karma involves choices. You will be given choices over and over until you conquer the life lesson involved in each. If one continues to make the wrong choices, you will come back and be presented with the same choices until you get it right. I do not this is a contradiction of a basic belief in faith, as I really think that God, or Buddha, or Yahweh or Mohammed or whatever Deity you believe in follows each in its own way, Karmic principles. They all believe in the same basic tenets, do good, love your neighbor, and avoid unkindness to all living creatures. Should you not, you return and go through the same testing until you evolve to your highest good, and then when you do, you may come back to act as a model, ala Sr Theresa, or a warning, ie Hitler, to show others the way. Then Nirvana, or Heaven or any version of reward will be achieved.

      • Ciao bella Italia!!

        Venice

Always. Constantly. In a heartbeat. All over the world. We took a cruise on Oceania for our 40th anniversary, and it was a life changing event. We visited Rome, Florence, Dubrovnik, Cote d'Azur, Provence, Portofino, Greece, and the stunning Venice. It was magical and transformative. Each port more stunning than the last. The only problem was not being able to spend more time in each venue. The on ship amenities and service were superb. Not having the hassle of driving and packing constantly made it so carefree, and the food!! Oooooh. We were totally spoiled. Cannot wait to do it again. Hopefully, soon.

        Rush Limbaugh - Caricature

Republicans. No, seriously...snakes, spiders, the recent fascination with hurling and bathroom jokes in media (disgusting), anything dead, all kinds of slime, Ann Coulter's eyes and brain?, serial killers, child molesters, the Taliban, religious fanatics. There may be more, but that is a good starter list.
