The first book that made me cry out loud was Where the Red Fern Grows. I was twelve, and couldn't imagine the loss the lead character felt at the end. Of course I've had my own losses since then, but at twelve it was quite a powerful book at the time.

- The Greatest Gift of All

If you would've asked me 10, 20 years ago I probably would've said something like love, or acceptance, mortality or even the standard answer everyone gives. But now that we have 2 boys, dogs, various other pets, full time jobs, our own home... I'd of course say time. I can't find enough time to do what I'm supposed to do in a day, much less any time for what I would really love to do.
So to stop the clock, or just to pause it when I need to, would be the greatest gift I can think of.

As much as they may frustrate me at times, I love the different views we have from one group – one person – to the next. I love that we have the opportunity to learn from each other about so many facets of our lives, personalities and experiences. Not that everyone does just that, but the chance to do so is amazing. Whether or not we decide to do that is up to each of us.
