    • Murakami, Florence + The Machine, Island-mountains.
      • Summer 2010's favorite memory was lying on a beach chair fronting the sea, ears plugged in to Florence + The Machine while reading Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami. It was late afternoon, and the sunset was hidden by the giant island-mountains that were scattered around. From the beach we could only see the pink-orange glow of the sky. I remember Florence's voice, and the distant splashing of beach goers, and the idle chatter of the Japanese tourists two beach chairs away.

    • A Wrinkle in Time
      • A Wrinkle In Time by Madeline L'Engle. :) It combines physics and other worlds and mitochondria! And the book of Genesis! Charles Wallace and Meg are awesome. I read this book in grade school and was awesome'd out by the purported existence of the 5th and so on dimensions.
