The one thing I am looking forward to this year is clarifying who I am. I have spent two decades being who I was expected to be: a mom, a wife, a realtor, a student. I still need to find out who I AM. I am coming to that place in my life where I want to BE me. I want to be comfortable not pleasing everyone else and instead stand up and be me. Time to put myself first and that will take some adjustments. I have come to the realization that those adjustments may shake up everything I know, everything I have built, everything that I have been suffered. Funny thing is, since coming to this realization recently, friends and family have commented on how much I seem to have shed years in my appearance. Can being true to yourself really be the fountain of youth? Choosing the path of least resistance has seemed to wear me down more than let me live care free. I am ready to really find out who I am and what I want for the second half of my life. I really do expect to live until 80, so here we are...time for a new life, right? Time for MY life to be what I want. Now...just to decide what that is.
