      • This is where I found God.

        A cathedral of perpetual prayer, the worship hall is silent.

        Standing in this church, I understood the meaning of "deafening silence." I felt God, and it was utterly terrifying.

        I couldn't breathe. I couldn't think. I couldn't help but to leave part of myself on the steps outside.

    • How to Procrastinate 101

      • Basically, the rest of my life.

        You see, as a senior in college, I have a finite number of options.
        (1) Ignore the world, fail to graduate, and try again
        (2) Do my shit, graduate, and do nothing
        (3) Do my shit, graduate, and not get into grad school
        (4) Do my shit, graduate, and get in to grad school
        (5) Do my shit, graduate, and get a job

        So, I'm avoiding thinking about all of these things.

    • The "I Told You So" Dance

        This is something simple.

        I've been helping my boyfriend move in to his new apartment in the last several days. He was looking for a bit of paperwork required to finish up the red tape and really start to settle down.

        We started walking around campus looking for the place he needed to find. I pointed out a sign that designated, fairly clearly, that this particular building was our destination. He wanted to keep walking to where he was going.

        So, we walked. In the stiffling heat and overbearing humidity, we walked. We walked to this place that pointed to the building I had across the way and said "there."

        That's when I dropped his hand an in the middle of the room, did my I told you so dance. Thank you Will and Grace.
