I will never write about something which I know nothing about. I may write enough about it to raise a question or start a conversation. Say, politics. I really hate talking or even reading much about politics. However, seeing as how politics does influence me and my readers, there will be times when politics does come up. But, that being said, I will likely never intentionally write on a political topic because I am not politically science-minded, and there are too many arguments on both sides from people who are smarter than I. And...I am just that non-confrontational.

My current dream is to travel to Spain. I've dreamed about it for a long time. The landscape appeals to me and the architecture in the major cities is really intriguing.

Of course there is great history there; I'd love to see places I've only read about: Guernica, Barcelona, Madrid, and most of all, the Basque region.

I want to experience the culture as authentically as a tourist can, eating and drinking in tapas bars and so forth. But mainly I want to drink in the landscape and breathe in the smells of the sea.

I am definitely the appreciative bystander. I admire many who can extemporaneously speak before a crowd, or respond with ease in any sudden situation. Equally, I admire artists, singers and musicians, but, alas, my artistic endeavors are not showy in the least. I am an ardent life observer. My Dad used to tell us kids, "You never learn anything while YOU'RE talking." That always hit home and stayed.
