- Why I gave up on "Infinite Jest"
-
Infinite Jest is kinda like New York for me....it's one of those things I should love, and yet, when I get there I'm all...ehhh. There's nothing better than reading reviews about Infinite Jest (and NYC)....you've finally found the most amazing thing ever - all you have to do is sit back and appreciate it, and then it hits you....it's huge, it's gonna take a lot of time, you might not think it's worth it...and then what - who's fault is it that you don't get the most amazing thing ever? (ps: Infinite Jest will never leave my 'to read' list)

- When you're sick and tired, watch people who are "Bigger, Stronger, Faster"

It's no fun laying in bed feeling weak and pathetic...why not give your recovery a jumpstart and watch this movie about Roids? It's a surprisingly honest take on drugs in sports and the win at all costs mentality that permeates our society. It's a thought provoking (though at times lighthearted) and engaging way to log some couch time. (Want an added bonus? The movie's available for instant viewing via Netflix)

- My hip-hop posse rolls deep with Andy Samburg, Questlove, and Animal from the Muppets
-
I'm taking this 'ish seriously, my crew is tuff!
Andy Samburg
Based on a strong resume of past performances, he'd make for an ideal collaboration partner in case we ever need to break into a freestyle (and he could bring Jorma to dance to the beat)
?uestlove, the drummer from the Roots
He'd deliver on three necessary ingredients: unlimited beats, unlimited street cred, and unlimited afro.
Animal from the Muppets
Always need a crazy dude to scare everyone else straight.

Wood floors and a drafty apartment = cold toes. How cold? Cooler than a polar bears toenails (says Big Boi). But - my girl got me a great pair …

- In defense of my vice: Friendfeed
-
It all started out innocently enough. I'd used Delicious for years to store links I found useful, but then along came Friendfeed and suddenly my digital footprints were being judged. Why didn't people "like" what I was sharing? How come no one was commenting on such interesting content? Why won't people add me as their virtual friend?
Of course the number of followers, friends, and likes doesn't really matter in the end (right??) but I still can't help reloading my FF page unnecessarily to see if anything I like is being liked by others.
So now I'm wondering...will this new Plinky character help or hurt my habit?
