- The best place I've ever stayed
-
Today's Plinky prompt asked to describe the best place I've ever stayed. That would have to be the resort in St. Kitts.
My sister got married in December of 2007 and thankfully she didn't want a hometown wedding. Instead, we packed up immediate family and headed for an island destination.
It was a week of pure bliss, with a room next to the beach. No cell phone, no computers and just pure relaxation for seven days.
the hotel was beautiful and if you didn't want leave, there was no reason to go off the resort. There was a casino also which I actually managed to make a little money.
The food was amazing and there were a few different restaurants to choose from so you weren't stuck at one the entire stay.

- When I remember...
-
Today's Plinky prompt is to name three songs that remember you of a specific time in your life.
SFH doesn't so much remind me of anything, but is kind of the theme for my life right now. I am addicted to their cd and can't wait for the second one to come out October 20th!
Hinder reminds me of the last boy I let get too close to me. It was more than a year of drama and as bad as things could get, it was hard to actually let go.
Steve Earle reminds me of growing up in Wisconsin and blasting Copperhead Road while we were driving to the lake or a field party. It reminds me of back when nothing mattered but having my friends close and making sure we were having a good time.

- Kraft Macaroni & Cheese is a tasty 'broke meal'
-
Plinky's question today is what was your go-to "broke meal?"
Mac & Cheese or Ramen noodles. I still eat the Mac & Cheese, always have a stash in the house. Rich or poor, Mac & Cheese will always be a staple. I can still remember sitting on the floor at the summer house when I graduated from high school and a bunch of us scarfing down the Mac.
Ramen noodles I'm not so much into anymore. The intense salt taste doesn't really appeal to me anymore.
