My high school took the juniors and seniors to D.C. for a few days each year. It took us 13 hours in a chartered bus, and we broke down in Richmond. Thankfully, there was a mall where we could wait while it was repaired. The trip home was even worse, because the girls softball team had joined us later in the trip after playing a double header in south Georgia. So coming home, we had to make room for them on the bus.
