Dog Day Afternoon. Great screenplay! It's really a freak show, I guess. I can go on watching this movie every now and then and still laugh at the same old lines. "Sal, Wyoming's not a country." - hahaha, yes!

Scarface. The 1983 remake of course, with Pacino on it. So many good stuff this movie "Lesson number two: Don't get high on your own supply", "I'm Tony Montana! You f*ck with me, you f*ckin' with the best!", and "Hey, I'm no f*ckin' criminal, man. I'm no puta or thief. I'm Tony Montana, a political prisoner from Cuba." Just perfect, that Cuban accent.

Michael Jackson. I first found about his death via twitter, right after I woke up. I always check previous tweets in my twitter timeline every morning and I remember it was a sad day in pop culture history.

Ahh, and thank you Don Felder to the wonderful Spanish feel intro to the live version of Hotel California which is included in this album. The guitar solo was aweeesoome!
Then again, Don Henley's The Last Resort was my favorite. Great depth, and "powertry."

Leonardo diCaprio. Self explanatory, look at the picture.

Batman. He doesn't have a superpower, he only has physical prowess, gadgets, and money. He is such a badass.

When it comes to an interesting character voice - for me, nothing beats the character of Prof. Humbert Humbert from Vladimir Nabokov's Lolita. Arguably, he can be seen as nothing but a disturbed pedophile but no one can deny how good he is in the command of the language (credits go for Tolstoy here) - something in the way Humbert Humbert talks will persuade anyone that he is at the mercy of his own fantasies about the "nymphets" and thus, at some point, he can be seen as a sympathetic character.

A multifaceted character indeed, you can see him as an intellectual person, an academic and educated scholar, a critic, a complicated and controlling character of his own, a solipsistic one who believes he has those "gloomy good looks", a uncanny person who mocks himself for doing things that are not accepted by the society, and finally a man who has intermittent sporadic thoughts about sexual fantasies brought about by an unconsummated romantic affair when he was young.

Humbert Humbert's beautiful prose will surely wheedle you out of the troubling thoughts that he has for Lolita, yet you would feel that his own articulation of his fantasies, miseries, and desires is more that just superficial sweet talk - it can also be taken as an unconscious effort to overcome an all-consuming psychological problem from a traumatic unsatisfied childhood.

I want to be Charles Marlow because I want to hunt down the mysterious Kurtz.

Oh yeah, this would make you appreciate your life. You will find that you are lucky to have a petty cold than having to experience what the peeps in the movie had gone through.

And it will make you cry. Thus, you can blow your colds away, and repeatedly.

Pass on the kleenex.
