    • Every kid should learn Selfrespect and selflove
      • Selfrespect and selflove
Because once they learned that, they'll grow up to be kind, well-balanced adults that can think for themselves, trust in themselves - and that makes it easier for them to find their own way, their own voice, create the life they want for themselves.
Plus, respecting yourself makes it much easier to respect others. If you respect and accept yourself as you are, doing the same with others ain't all that hard.

        Being honest
Being honest, at LEAST with themselves - because living a lie - it's hard - it's painful.
Sometimes it isn't smart to drop the truth as you see it on everyone's head - but it IS smart to at least KNOW your truth.

        Laugh!
Have fun - life ain't all that hard - and it's supposed to be FUN!
Smile, smile, smile - no situation so rotten or you can find some humor in it.
It's what makes ME bounce back - always - seeing the humor in things, finding something to laugh about. Enjoying the fun sides of life.
It's an invaluable tool to get through the darkest of pits. And I want them to have it, too.

        Being polite
Because politeness opens more doors than rudeness closes!

    • That's funny
      • A subtle, dry sense of humor that includes themselves - I like people that can laugh about themselves as well - they never fail to make me smile.

    • At my high school reunion, I'll tell people No lies at all.
      • No lies at all.
None whatsoever. I'm proud of myself, and my life. I measure success by what I AM - not by what I have accomplished.
But I am happily married and a proud mother of two, and if they think I'm beneath them, so be it!
