The snowtopped mountain on the horizon call me there. The snowy winters begging me to stay locked in my cabin and hibernate like a bear until spring sings her first song. The majesty of the terrain showing all of God's glory. The simple life of no rushing and no stress. It doesn't matter where specifically it is in Montana, the entire state is beautiful and waiting just for me.

Dealing with Alzheimer's Disease is a trying and difficult experience. My grandmother passed on to be with our Father on October 21, 2006 from Alzheimer's. It is hard for me to understand why or how a disease can rob your brain of the wonderful memories of the people you once knew and the life you once lived. The Notebook didn't help me understand this, but it is a story of unconditional love that even in death, can still survive. This is the kind of love that most people search for their entire lives and sometimes never achieve. The Notebook opened my eyes to the power of love. It is a powerful emotion that is found within all of us, if given the chance. Even through the lost memories and forgotten faces, love still resides, quietly inside the heart. The brain may steal things away as we grow older, but the heart fights against the brain to sustain the one emotion that cannot be forgotten.

Fiction is the Truth inside a Lie - Stephen King

There are some things in life that we necessarily don't lie about, we just avoid the truth altogether. Stephen King said "Fiction is the truth inside a lie". Being a writer, myself, I know exactly what he means. You cannot write a fiction book with out lieing about things. Hail to the king of all fiction, Mr. King. Inspiration comes from the lies inside of me. Everyone has them, they just may not want to admit them. Honesty, is the best policy, in marraige, work life and various other necessary components of life, but is the unspoken really a lie? If you avoid the truth, is that the same as telling a lie? Some would argue yes, but what would you say?

My scars are not on the skin. My scars did not bleed. My scars are deep in my soul. My scars are from a man. My scars cannot be seen. I hide them inside for only me to know. They have been exposed over years and buried over time. My scars are healed wounds and I am overwhelmed by the new man who helped heal them. I don't call him a doctor, only an angel with the power of love. Love heals.
