I have had horses my entire life until the recent past. The last time I enjoyed the great outdoors was when I went "horse camping" with my good friends and family. We camped at Big South Fork, which is a lovely place. We rode our horses to beautiful overlooks, waterfalls, through trickling streams and thrilling mountain inclines. I enjoyed being back at camp just as much as we had a roaring fire, sat and talked way into the night, sang karaoke and laughed until I cried. I miss this so very much!

    • Long Weekends
      • Relaxing on the beach

For me, the best way to spend a long weekend would be: at the beach. The ocean provides me with such a feeling of calm and serenity. I would enjoy the sun, catch up on some reading, eat great dinners out and night time walks on the beach.

    • Banning Soda in Schools
      • Coca-Cola

This is a great question. When I was in school, elementary through high school, there were no soda machines or snack machines. You either brought your own lunch or you ate in the cafeteria. Every meal was served with milk. If you didn't want milk, the only other choice was water.

I'm not necessarily saying that this is the way it should be, however, I am saying that I lived through it as did the other 400 people in my graduating class. I would have loved a soda machine in my school, but at that time, the rules were the rules. The obesity statistics then versus now are overwhelming!

I love Coca-Cola more than anything else and drink way too much of it, but I am an adult and can make that decision for myself. No, I am not an obese adult, of course I could lose 10 pounds, but well within the range for my height.

I don't think all soda should be banned from schools, but the "at your leisure" soda machine should probably be banned. Maybe schools could sell it as part of your lunch, still giving students access to have a soda, but take away the freedom to drink soda all day long every day.

    • On Having It All
      • Romantic sunset at the beach in Malaysia

Having it all, to me, means living in perfect harmony and peace. It is not about having all the monetary things you have ever dreamed of, but having a fulfilling life, being happy no matter your circumstances. One's circumstances change as you go through life, along with your hopes and dreams.

My lifelong dream has been to live at the beach. Is it attainable? Maybe, maybe not. If this never comes to fruition, I can still have it all. It is a state of mind, a feeling. Having it all is a moment in time where you feel a complete sense of serenity.

When you post where you are and what you are doing every minute of every day. I am referring to posts like "Gone to grocery store, cooking spaghetti tonight". I am all for sharing exciting news, important information, accomplishments and life's journey. But lets be real for a moment; do we really care what condition the bathroom at Walmart was in this morning?
