Oh jeez. I have a lot. We'll start at the top.

1. I have a scar on my right ribcage. I have no idea what it's from. But it's definitely there. It amuses me. :)

2. A small one on my elbow from falling when I was little. A piece of quartz was trapped in there when it healed, and was there for years, until one day I cut into the scar and removed it. It was a very pretty piece of quartz. Apparently my body didn't really care it was there. Which is odd. But whatev!

3. My newest one, on my right wrist. Well, there's the long line, the 8 marks from stitches (those are supposed to fade pretty much totally) and one on the side. Yay surgery.

4. 2 scars on my right hand. From warts being burned off. Sexy, huh?!

5. A 1/4 inch scar at the base of my left hand ring finger. I did that to myself with a fingernail. My nails are dangerous. They figure into a later scar as well.

6. Jumping down to my right knee...a very large scar on the top of it. I had a run-in with the bottom of a swimming pool. The pool won. Since I was teaching swim lessons and lifeguarding, it didn't have a chance to heal, and scarred way worse than normally.

7. A small one at the top of my right shin. I got that from a chain-link fence I was jumping over (because I didn't want to walk all the way around to the gate). I was jumping over after playing soccer at lunch in high school.

8. A small scar on the top of my foot right by my 2nd toe. No clue what it's from, but it's cute!

9. Jumping over to my left leg. Two very long, parallel lines just above my knee. From a run-in with barbed wire. The barbed wire won. It was on the M Climb at Mines, and another girl had a run-in at the same time. A guy was coming at us with a bucket of whitewash, and we both stepped back (involuntary reaction when someone is coming at you with a bucket of whitewash). Well, we stepped back into barbed wire. And, I was again swimming, so it didn't heal as well as it should have.

10. A small one perpendicular to the top barbed wire scar. That one is from my thumb nail as I was taking off a pair of jeans one day. Like I said, nails are dangerous.

11. A small one on the top of my left shin (hey, I'm symmetrical!). That one is from cartwheeling over a rock in the dark. I was up with a friend taking photos of the moon, and totally didn't see the waist high rock in front of me during an almost full moon. Graceful.

12. An indented one about 2/3 of the way down my left shin. That one is from a tubing incident and a rock (I favor rocks...). I also got myself a sprained ankle from that one. And a popped tube on the same day.

13. A 1 inch line on the inside of my left ankle. From a water ski. The one and only time I've ever water skied. Hey, I got up on my...3rd or so try. Something ridiculously fast. It was amazing! I want to do it again.

And those are my noticeable scars. I love each and every one of them.
