- If I had easy access to a helicopter, I'd fly to Victoria Falls, Zambia this weekend
-
Describe why you'd choose that spot for a getaway.
Are you kidding? The longest falling sheet of water in the world? I'd fly up there at a moment's notice and quaff G&T's and nibble sandwiches while basking in the glories of Africa. I would see both sides of the Zambezi River, Vic Falls in Zimbabwe, despite the despotic madman that is Robert Mugabe, and then hop over to the better spots in Zambia.

- Li (as in "lye") short for Lionel and "two plus three".
-
Why? Because some people are too damned lazy to say "Lionel". Somehow somewhere people think it's okay or even cool to assume that since they're okay with being "shortened", you won't mind either.
If you're gorgeous and I'm smitten, I won't mind what you call me. As for the rest... Hello, my name is Lionel.
Two plus three? Sigh. My surname is "du Plessis". I do not miss school, college, or colonies of stupid.
I'm not that precious about my name. I'm just irritated with presumption and bad "humour".

Grade 10, Science Lab, Sunward Park High School. Heidie grabbed a pair of scissors from me while I was cutting paper. Sliced me right to the bone. I was fascinated by the beautifully sliced flesh and the whiteness of the bone. Then I fainted.
