This is an easy question.... my best friend is of course my husband!
When I have a bad day I know I can come home and he'll wrap his arms around me and take it all away. He doesn't solve all my problems but he helps me talk through them and get to the solution. He allows me... to be me!
That's not to say that we don't have tough times and that we don't ever disagree, but we are quick to understand each others points and compromise.
I finally understand what it's like to have someone who has your back, who shows you how to love and to have faith in something.

    • Would I Survive No Internet for a Whole Month?
      • free internet

Could I live without internet for a month?... Hmmm, well for most of my life I somehow survived without it, then again, we didn't have the luxury as we do today. I went to school back when we actually had to go to the library and take out books. We had computers but not everyone and we certainly did not have the internet.
In present times, I need internet to work and although I admit I don't NEED it at home, I like that I do.
I have had times in the recent past where I was without internet and I did miss it! It's far to easy to look things up and get caught up in justy plain surfing the web! I fit right in to the norm on Facebook and one day I decided I didn't want to be "normal" anymore. I realized that I didn't need a Facebook account and I would still talk to my friends and family without it. In fact the more I found out about it, the more I realized it wasn't for me! I do have the occasional friend that asks me why I'm not "on" anymore and I simply reply "it's not for me". I can't honestly say that I never miss it, but I do have more time to spend on other things and actually use my time wisely. Farmville, Yoville, and Fishville... they couldn't drag me down and somehow I survived!
I enjoy the internet and I am smarter for it, simply for the fact that I have information at my finger tips. If you use it wisely it can be great, but if you get sucked in, you will find you wasted your time and could have enjoying the world around you.

    • The Most Confusing Part of Life Is...
      • So sad we see this as a sport...

        Deer Hunting Trip 06 098

I find it hard to believe that we can't get past the greed of our society and start living and appreciating our earth and the creatures on it. We have no compassion for other humans, animals or plants. We consume and destroy everything around us for what we think will be a solution.
A solution to something we don't even know the question to.
As a species we always want more, and yet can't seem to get by with too little. We don't help our neighbors and we certainly don't help our earth, but knowing all of this we still don't try to fix it. There are a few of us out there who try to make a difference by living the best way we can, but it seems like too little too late.
From beasts we scorn as soulless,
        In forest, field and den,
The cry goes up to witness
        The soullessness of men.
        ~M. Frida Hartley
We hunt as a sport and yet fail to realize there should be two fair teams to play. There are animal skins and heads on our walls as trophies we earned one day. Yet we fail to realize it wasn't so fair to start. To feel as though they don't feel like I do, is a stain upon my soul that can't be washed away. Yet I brag about my trophy to my friends who come and go and never once realize about the life that I stole.
