- In defense of my vice:
-
See, the sad thing is that I don't know that I've got one anymore - so there's nothing I can really defend, since I no longer smoke, I drink rarely, don't do drugs, and I'm not a whore.
There's always tea.
So, if that's my only vice, then I defend it by saying that a) it's delicious, b) it makes you feel good when you don't feel good, and c) it's got caffeine. Who can say no to caffeine?

- One of my quirks: Singing
-
Singing
It doesn't seem to matter what it is exactly, I'll sing along to it. I do try to curb it somewhat; but, apparently, it drives people dippy. I used to have a good singing voice, apparently, but I don't know anymore. I'm kind of afraid to open my mouth and find out.
Bathroom breaks
I drink a lot of teas, so I need to stop a lot more frequently than most folks seem to. That also probably drives people crazy. It's all right though, because a good stretch of the legs does wonders to help keep a healthy circulation.
Fidgeter
On the other hand, you can count on me for one good thing: I am not a fidgeter. I may do the odd unconscious thing now and then. Who doesn't? However, I don't tap, whistle, twiddle, twist, maim, fold, bend, spindle, mutilate, or otherwise.

- I get by with a little help from ...
-
Without it, without the Internet, I'd never have met the amazing people and friends that I've met; been given a forum for writing, creating, expressing; found opportunities to donate my time, and know myself; nor found employment.
But, at the root of it, it's always the people.
The people I've known over the years are what's made all this time spent on the other side of the screen worth it. I'm sad to see some of them have gone, but they've been wonderful with their time, and I am eternally grateful for everything they've given, done, and shared.

- If you owned a store, what would you sell?
-
This would have to be a combo deal: used bookstore and neat junk shop. That sort of comfortable eclecticism, that sort of random joy, appeals to me. We could sell art supplies too, odd furniture and clothing.
I'd like it to look and feel as far away from big box, corporate antisepticism as it possibly could. That's the sort of atmosphere that kills the joy of shopping and socialising, and makes people constipated.
Maybe there could be a room in the back or above, with fluffy couches and a big TV where we could watch movies once in a while. We could hang works by local artists on the walls; have readings and such; art nights where people get together in groups and make stuff - fun stuff. It would have to be next to a decent café that sold tea in huge mugs and was equally as comfortable; or, perhaps we could have a café attached.

It is impossible, methinks, to listen to any of thse songs at a 'respecatable' volume. And that's the way it should be.
