- What defines "love"
-
[Is there a single idea or definition that runs through all the varieties of “love”?]
For me, it means affection or fondness towards someone or even something! However, such feelings can be very complicated, each can differ from the other, like relationships between people itself.

- Songs in Rotation

My brain is like a jukebox most of the time, here's some are my recent favourites.
1) Happy Smile Again
- by a Japanese band [Ikimono-gakari] consisting of guitarists Mizuno and Yamashita along with female vocalist Yoshioka.
Some thoughts: Often grinding through monotonous routines, tough times in our daily life, it's a song that keeps me postive and bouncy regardless of the situation.
===============================
2) Natsu・Koi (2010 version) [Summertime Love]
- by the same band mentioned above
Some thoughts: The weather has been terribly hot, so it's really like summer xD Makes me feel like having a vacation somewhere far off.

3) Response-Ability feat Othello
by acro jazz laboratories
Some thoughts: This is hip-hop jazz (winks) Go check it out!

- Home deco?

First, I'll talk about my room. Been sharing with my elder sister (we're twins by the way) for 9 years now. A room of 10 x 10, 3 storage boxes of medium size stacked up against the wall. Right next to it would be a chest of drawers we got from IKEA, it's where we put in our clothes.
Then there's the bookshelf, some of our favourite films on Blu-ray or DVD, music CDs, set of compact dictionaries and all on the top row; novels, comics, artbooks, memoirs, autobiographies, history books, magazines, sketchbooks - they all occupy the last 3 rows of the shelf.
Getting on to the subject, the walls of my room are perfectly empty. Whenever we put something on, like a poster of a band we were fond of or a cute comic poster, it wouldn't stick well onto the wall. Plus my mom would have them off the surface in no time - not that she tore it to shreds. We used to put up a framed photograph of us twins with pigtails on.
About the living room, my parents used to enjoy doing jigsaw puzzles. We had a 50 Pound Sterling banknote jigsaw puzzle from my uncle living in Singapore, it was huge! It occupied the living room wall for a long time till my mom decided it had become the perfect hiding place for bugs (lizards) and placed it in the attic.
I'm not sure how I would have decorated the house, but put whatever you think best that makes your home a cozy place.

- Bird or Owl? Which are you?
-
"Early bird, or night owl?"
I'm not really sure about that.. I don't sleep past nine on weekends. For example, most of our family vacations are by car; my father loves to have us in the car by 6:00AM, we reach there early mostly by 10:30. We get to have most of the left to enjoy the day. As a result, I prefer to be up early, don't like sleeping in. But I do get exhausted after such a long day.
Still, to answer the latter part, I often stay up late till 11:00PM chatting with friends, talking about life and its usual topics (winks). Or even some volunteering on things I'm able to do. So truthfully, I'm both ways. xD

- If you wondered I can actually sing at all...
-
Even when I was a child, my parents instilled the habit of paying attention to lyrics of songs, particularly my mom. So we would sing-a-long to our favourite songs at home or even in the car. The Carpenters, Bee Gees, ABBA, Diana Ross, Rod Stewart.. We loved all lots of it. But Lady Gaga, Gwen Stefani, Justin Timberlake.. well that sort just isn't quite my cup of tea. Now, off to the list of 3 songs I would sing if I was convinced to do so at a bar. I'll include samples of respective songs, I do hope you will give it a try :D
Relationships with people (not strictly love-related) are part of the growing pains for teens. Sometimes it doesn't end even when you reach adulthood. I was never popular at school, had different wavelengths from the typical cliques; plus I spoke English all the time with my sister, talking about books, music and among other things. So, this song speaks volumes for me because I was an "ugly duckling" too ;)
Well, this is a Japanese song, the title loosely meaning "World of Tears"(?) About a girl's unrequited love for another. Surprisingly enough, the melody accompanying the song isn't downright sad at all. I would be thrilled if someone would play the guitar while I sing the lines!~ <3
Soko ni Hitotsu Dake by Aira Yuuki
Yet another Japanese song! This is the B-side to the title single above ↑↑ Very cute song lamenting about dreams and reality. My favourite verse:
In this too-beautiful time
Medley of misery
I'll accept all of you
But I can't do it now
Not until my heart quiets down
