Baby robin

My backyard is my sanctuary. It's home to chipmunks, squirrels and an assortment of creatures that keep me entertained. If I look closely, during certain times of the year, I can find beautiful green caterpillars camouflaged among lacy fern leaves. In the spring fuzzy baby robins hop about, calling to their mama's for more food. This typically elicits a few snickers from any onlookers, or in the case of my dog Bear, a puzzled look followed by a quick romp around the yard. The activity and characters are always changing so I never seem to get bored of the plots or scenes.

I also love to watch how nature redecorates my backyard for every season without me lifting a finger. I can see in spring the flowers bloom with a rainbow of colors that cascade into a summer of bright green, moving into autumnal reds and finally a winter grey. It's beautiful. I'm blessed to have the best place to enjoy nature right outside my back door.
