    • Fool me twice, shame on my dad

      • Far back as I can remember April fool's day has been a feared, but loved day in our household. My father, the humorous man that he is, has always taken great pleasure in running in mine and my brother's room at the crack of dawn screaming that the house is on fire....EVERY YEAR...and EVERY YEAR...I fall for it. Even now at the age of 43 he finds ways to reach me on April fool's day to play that very same prank...it's become a tradition in the family...I do it to my kids now...
        and I am sure they will do it to their kids. I'm sure that if my house ever does catch on fire, I'll have to look at a calendar to make sure it's not April Fools...
        I think the thing that I most enjoy about the prank, is the twinkle in my dad's eyes once I wake up and realize, "Damn, he did it again!"
