    • Famous?
      • If I COULD BE a famous person....I'd choose not to be. I think being famous would be horrible! I value my privacy too much!

    • What's your skill?
      • I would choose to learn how to always say the right thing at the right time; to be the kind of person people listen to; to be influential.

    • Which sense would I choose to lose?
      • If forced to choose, I guess I would lose TASTE. That would be the least objectionable loss to me. SIGHT, HEARING, SMELL, TOUCH are all more important to me.

    • No do-overs for me!
      • Chief Seattle said, "All things are connected like the blood which unites one family. We did not weave the web of life, we are merely a strand in it. Whatever we do to the web we do to ourselves."

This idea is applicable to the world, a town, and within ourselves. Any little change we make to our past would affect the whole web of who we are.

Some possible do-overs for me might be:
'as a teenager I would shout from the rooftops about my abusive home environment, and I wouldn't stop until I got help.'
'I would not wait until my 40s to get the negative people out of my life.'
'I would go to engineering school, regardless of people saying that girls don't become engineers.'
'I wouldn't let my fear hold me back.'

I could continue, but in reality, I wouldn't change a thing. Any do-over would mean that my present would be altered in unfathomable ways. I would never risk losing what I have now. I have family and friends who love me, and that is the most important thing.

    • Dear 100-year-old me
      • Dear 100 yr old self,
Be comforted that the day is nigh. Be thankful that you are so blessed to know Jesus and have comfort in where your next journey will lead you. Be thankful that those who mean the most to you made the choice to join you when their time comes. Anything else, any other choices, any events, any happiness or sadness are all irrelevant in the light of Salvation. At the end of our lives it doesn't matter where we've been; it only matters where we're going. Continue to pray for the lost ones for as long as God allows you.
