        She woke up late after a deep sleep, to an ominous clicking sound. The dog was still in his crate, so it wasn't his doing. After some investigation, they found water damage from the air conditioner leaking. The morning was off to a bad start.

        But after a 90 minute walk around town with the dog, involving running into three of his canine pals and returning a stray labradoodle to his home, the day seemed easier to handle. Errands and a cat-sitting job kept her busy for the rest of the morning, until the humidity finally broke and the day could truly begin.

    • My Dream House

      • My dream house is so simple, that I don't even know what it is called in order to find you a picture. It looks exactly like the houses little kids draw, except with a big front porch. Here I will draw one in Paint for you.



        This is the simplest version I could find.

        So this is the basic shape. Square. Triangle. Dormers on sides, large front porch with lanterns and plants and a swing. Front lawn is all wildflowers with a path up to porch. Backyard is fully fenced with wooden 6-foot privacy fence that extends 2 feet into the ground. This is so doggies can't get out. There is a back sliding door which leads to a deck or patio or back porch, through which we let the dogs.

        There is a lot of land, an herb garden, a vegetable garden, and a small barn, where we keep goats. House is probably a muted yellow, blue, or green, front door is purple, trim/window frames, etc. is either white on a yellow or blue or dark green on a green house.

        The overall property is very set back from the road, which is in a very small town, hopefully in Maine. There probably should be a garage, which will hopefully house Saabs and Subarus.

        Swear words: Are you pro or con?
        Some people love to swear. For others it makes them cringe. Where do you stand, and why?


        I love to swear because I am small of stature, shy, and my voice is pretty high (and annoying), so people don't expect it from me. Also it can be very effective. But I am wary of over-using any word within a single conversation or paragraph. It's the English major in me.
