- If I Could Take Any Class for Free
-
I would definitely take a photography class. After 5 years of business and IR I think its time to go back to my artistic side which was my first love. Living in the Caribbean there's always something beautiful to photograph, so a class in landscape photography would be nice.
Anyway, enough with the distractions, back to working on my dissertation. Dissertation first, photography after.

- Living in Other Countries

I most definitely have. I was born on a beautiful Dutch Caribbean island, then when I was three I moved to another beautiful (but this time British) Caribbean island. As a result I have 1 nationality (Dutch), 1 ethnicity (West Indian), 2 Caribbean citizenships, 1, maybe 2 European ones that can be obtained without much effort on my part, one EU passport and lovely perks like paying national tuition fees at my current university which has me living in London. Before London, I lived in Indianapolis for four years doing my undergrad so in total I have lived in 4 countries, 2 continents and 2 islands belonging to 2 different European nations.

- How I'd Respond If I Bumped Into My Ex
-
My response would be something along the lines of, "Hey, what's up?" because I do not have issues with my exes. I don't let bad terms linger and I've never dated anyone that turned out to be the kind of person that I have to give a wide berth to on the street. The relationship didn't work out, we broke up. He wanted to get back together. I knew there was no chance of that happening because it was not the right relationship for me. He tried some more, I resisted, he gave up and that was that. Now he's married and I'm quite happy that he found someone to spend the rest of his life with and doubly glad that I didn't re-enter the relationship because that would've meant more time wasted with something that wasn't right for either one of us and he might have missed the opportunity to find his wife.

- Fiction versus Nonfiction

Transmetropolitan: Lust for Life
Most definitely fiction, especially since I read an abundance of journal articles and books about business, religion and more recently international relations, immigration policy etc. After all of that, the only thing I can unwind with is fiction. That being said, I think as a side effect of all the reading I do for university I have not been able to read a novel in about a year and a half. I started "Surface Detail," and while it's amazing, I cannot get through it. The only things I can read now are Graphic Novels, so I surround myself with them and I'm letting my nerdy side come out.
I firmly believe, after all the scholarly, academic articles and books I've read and continue to have to read, I deserve to relax with a book with "pictures."
Spider Jerusalem says, "I hate it here."
If I lived where he did I suspect I would too....
