    • What I Like Most About My Job
      • I have maintained a passion for adolescents and young adults as they navigate life’s transitions. In addition, I see a variety of clients; including children, adolescents, and adults, individually or as couples suffering from anxiety, anger management, panic disorders and depression. I also see patients with general complaints such as obsessive-compulsive symptoms, performance anxiety, social phobia, and coping with life transitions including post-college adjustment, middle-age, & retirement.

    • The Best Advice I Ever Received
      • While all these degrees, licensures, and certifications are necessary to practice as a counselor and psychotherapist, I believe that what I have learned through life experience is equally as important. I remember one of my professors saying, “Deborah, with your experiences and understanding of life, you will be graduating with a full degree. Others will have some years to go before they gain the life wisdom that compliments and fulfills a counseling degree.” Well, I guess that is one advantage of being an older student! You’ve got plenty of life experiences!
