- In response to: "If you were in a movie right now, what music would be playing?" More than likely Lonely Day by System of a Down. Only because it's mellow and I fell isolated from the world at this moment.

Well, It's no secret about my love for music, so I have quite the list of musical acts I'd love to see live. Oh boy to narrow it down is the hardest. If I must...
First and foremost, Yellowcard or Switchfoot. These are the first bands that I feel in love with. You could say they were the beginning of it all. My start of my very own musical journey. They were the fuel, well technically I was already addicted to music but it was them that catapulted the obsession to so much more. It's because of this that I've always loved lyrics.
Secondly, ugh once again a tie between Blink 182 and Fall Out Boy. While Blink is more of a possibility since they are back together again. Yay! Yes I was heartbroken when I found out that they were on break. I still have my fingers crossed for FOB, because technically it's a hiatus.
Lastly, Avenged Sevenfold. This is purely because I promised a friend of mine that we would see Avenged Sevenfold, and we would see them together. So seeing A7X with Sara is the goal especially since I have a strict no promise-breaking policy.
We shall see if this comes true.

In my not so humble opinion, December is the best of the twelve months around. It is the best of everything for me. It has the best weather, the best holiday, and it's my birth month.
I love bundling up in my cute boots, chic coat, and one of my many colorful scarves. The winter season in my opinion is the greatest to dress up for. Even with it being Texas, the weather gets a little chilly. Not to mention the chance of snow. What's not to love about December?
The best part is that the leaves have all fallen, and nothing is more beautiful than walking through campus with the barren trees with a nice blanket of snow. It's breathtakingly beautiful.
It's also the perfect time to get in touch with you inner child. You can shamelessly have a snow fight in front of the Academic building, breathe out obnoxiously to just see your breath, and create snow angels. Then head back inside for some hot chocolate or a nice latte. A warm beverage is always welcome with cold weather. Just think of all the marshmallows you can put in your hot chocolate before it's brimming to the top with the soft, spongy sweetness. Heaven!
December also marks the beginning of the winter break, a month off from school, finals, and thinking too much. What student doesn't love that?
Let's not forget that December is also the month in which we celebrate Christmas. Whether you love giving or receiving this month is the epitome of these acts. I personally love the giving. I love putting a smile on the ones a love with a well thought out gift that is both friendly on a student's budget and perfect for the receiver.
Of course the best part of this month is that my birthday is nestled nicely in the beginning of the month. I love my birth month and have a firm belief that people born is December are destined to be amazing. It's a fact people. No I kid...kind of.
After all, you always save the best for last. You often find yourself reflecting, planning, and it's the only month to end in a bang. What month can say that?
But in all seriousness, what's not to love about this grand month? How could you ever be miserable in warmth of your coat, sipping on some hot cocoa, and exchanging gifts or counting down from ten as the ball drops and the fireworks stop.

Living rooms aren't only for living. They're also amazing to discover new worlds.
It was in that love seat that I would curl up and just read. It began with Beverly Clearly and Barbara Park, and as I got older it I became acquainted with Mildred B. Taylor on that same love seat. I even read or rather sang Ella Enchanted on that sofa. Yes that sofa was a dream to just sit and get lost in their words. Travel far away from that on simple furniture piece.
I haven't read in that sofa much especially since I have gone to college. Since then I've barely had time to read for just my pleasure, and that sofa still is the best to curl up and read in. Just thinking about that I feel tempted to pick up my favorite memoir and making myself comfy on that brown couch and laughing along as Susan tells of that summer in which she got in touch with her inner hippie as a child.

An hour full of Sara Bareilles or He Is We usually does for me.
Sara Bareilles on Walmart Soundcheck
Both musical acts are easy on the ears, I use to joke to my roommate that just a bit of He Is We before my Chemistry class was the thing to make learning about combustion and reactions bearable. Yes offense to anyone that finds Chemistry an alluring topic.
Now back to the music, beyond their music being easy on the ears you find yourself caught up in the infectious tunes. There is no way that you don't find yourself humming along or sometime belting out. For me that's the best thing to do. Belting out a tune just makes me happy.
I've always loved singing and enjoyed many sessions of the hairbrush in your hand and mirror before you. It is that love that lead to my 7 years in choir, and for those 7 years I cannot recall a time in which I came out of choir feeling anything but on cloud nine. All should know that the best way to happiness is to do something you love and the joy should ensue.
