- Magazines may be dying, but I still read them... for now.
-
I used to subscribe to a lot more magazines than the ones listed here, but unfortunately a lot of them are either going out of business (Domino, ReadyMade, Craft), or I simply see no need to buy them any more (Cook's Illustrated's web site is enough for me these days; the same goes for Wired).
I'm seriously considering the Kindle 2 once I've saved enough money, and once I get one, I might not read another magazine.
The New Yorker
I could say I read the New Yorker for its cultural wit and the stunning prose, but I really read it because the stories and opinions are compelling and well-written. Oh, and the cartoons are neat.
One of my reasons to eventually get the Kindle is the $4.99 New Yorker subscription directly to the Kindle. No more back issues cluttering up my coffee table!
Real Simple
This is a total guilty pleasure, as Real Simple is usually a magazine for housewives or ladies in their mid-thirties. But I enjoy the recipes and the household cleaning and organizing tips are helpful. Still, it's an indulgence, since I usually go through the magazine in about half hour. Might end up not renewing my subscription this year.

Easy. Pay off my debt.

I choose not to have a hero name. I intend to be pretty anonymous and unknown, and my sole power is to be able to stop and go time. That's …

- I recommend checking out Sydney Opera House when you're in Sydney, Australia

It was just beautiful. Blue skies, blue ocean, the white arch of the Opera House in the distance. Just perfect.

- When I realized I was a grown-up (not)
-
Part of me still doesn't think I'm an adult. I don't really know a lot about money, and I just learned in 2006 what it means to have credit card debt. As of today, I have no savings, and am still in debt. So really, I don't think I'm really an adult yet.
By May of this year, I'll hopefully be debt-free. And coincidentally, it'll also be when I turn 30. So I'll let you know then if I'm an adult or not.
