    • Best Rooftop View (in recent memory)
      • The best view from a roof top - of recent memory - has to be from one of the mall/hotels on the “Walking Street” in Pattaya, Thailand. We were there at night, and all of the touristy neon lights were lit, glowing and tempting all kinds of craziness.

    • Favorite Foreign Film
      • Strictly Ballroom is my favorite foreign film...followed by Murial's Wedding. Something about the Australian accent? Sound tracks? Not sure. If you've not had the chance to see them, I highly recommend both.

They'll usually show up on one of the movie channels, late at night and I'll have to stay awake to see the whole movie again. Even though I can recite the dialogue.

    • Reading 'The Left Hand of Darkness' ...
      • I drew all kinds of lines between this book and "Heart of Darkness" by Conrad. Extrapolated themes jumped planets and my brain exploded. Didn't hurt (help?) that I was drinking a lot of Southern Comfort during the reading of both works. Heh.
