#1 rule: make sure it's a real one
i've been many relationships. though, they've oft been imaginary. so in terms of rules for maintaining a "healthy relationship," this rule is fundamental.

we primarily stayed in seattle with an engineering friend of hers and crashed at his apartment in lake city. he was a gourmet, finer-things-in-life kind of guy, so we always ate and drank well. on the first days in seattle, we saw pike place market, walked the boardwalk, ate alaskan wild salmon at anthony's, and took pics in front of the 1st starbucks. we took a day trip and drove to cannon beach in oregon, ate at fenouil in portland, and then walked the pearl in the midnight hours. back in seattle, we had dim sum in the international district, went to bumbershoot by the space needle, and then had drinks at the ninja bar and amber. we also took a day trip to vancouver, where we walked around granville and had a nice dinner at kalypso. oh, and i had geoduck sushi for the first time in seattle and saw the dark knight there, too. on the last day before our flight, i went thrift store shopping and then we had lunch at salumi where i, as my friends teased, "met the love of my life" over spicy ham and stinky cheese.

being a renegade film screenplay writer. perhaps be a l' enfant terrible of the movie making world. but even after my 15 minutes are over, i'd have a legacy and my name would be recorded in the annals of cult cinema history.

on my right knee, i have a circular scar from where i fell on the concrete drive way of an eighth grade friend. i secretly went to her house after school to play. i was running to homebase in a game of freeze tag when i tripped. i felt this intense stinging. when i looked down, i saw blood dripping from my knee. when her mom cleaned the wound, i saw that there were pieces of gravel stuck in me. when a got bandaged up, i looked like someone shot me in the kneecap, hobbling about all gimpy. my parents were so pissed at me...doh...

the first time i went here was to see muse (black holes and revelations tour). i like that it's by city hall and that the building had a historic feel to it. i liked the second level seating. also, i thought the acoustics were great. and well, most importantly, i saw muse there and the show blew my mind away. i was forever changed (in a good way). so of course, i get all nostalgic and dreamy when i think of that venue and how i had such a good time there.
