No, not entirely. I know what I THINK I want to do, but like most other people at this stage in my life, I'm riddled with constant self doubt. College has been a breeze, and I've found that I LOVE the lab work that I do, but pursuing a PhD is a lot of fucking work, and I've learned that you really have to sell your soul and give up your whole life to actually be a good scientist. It's not surprising, but suddenly I find myself more attached to other people than I ever thought I could be, and my bohemian, sex-positive side really wants to say, "Fuck it all, I'm staying with fringe theatre!"

It's no big deal to me. It's no big deal to my closest friends and my partners. It IS, however, a big deal to my family, and the doctors, and the insurance companies, and nearly any job I might want, and the Bathroom Policeman sorts, and the guys I meet a clubs who might notice that I'm unreasonably short and must have a seriously tiny dick. And my guess is that it's a big deal to the folks I graduated with, and they'll be talking about it all week. "Hey, remember that slut C____ from high school?! She's a dude now!"
