    • Collecting The American Beauties
      • Ahh! I found an American Beauty! I was surprised. A rare find it was. I picked it out of my hand and inserted it into my small jean pocket. You know, that small pocket above your right front pocket.

My beauty is collected. I'm putting it away in my case. Fabulous find and I was pleased. Hey, you don't see it often! It was quite challenging! More and more Americans are coin collecting them!.

2009 State Quarters proof - US Virgin Islands

Showing you my find above is US Mint's Virgin Island quarter. It is one of circulating now getting rare quarters. US Mint is not making a lot of them. Did you not know Virgin Island is under US sovereignity, like Puerto Rico is?

Coin collecting all those perfect condition American Beauties is incredibly challenging. Other beauties, American The Beautiful quarters is minting in key dates that will span a decade. Those quarters features our National Parks treasure on its back.

US Mint commenced this program last year following its successful States Quarter program unveiled for the first time in 1999. For years before 1999, US Mint engraves bald eagle image on the back of its quarter.

In a nutshell, if you obtain those quarters in perfect condition and save them for a decade, you'll make more money. I came across last year's American The Beautiful perfect quarters in mint state 70 (MS 70). They cost $270 now. $54 for a quarter!

In the next decade, if you are still alive, you would sell them at a commanding premium price to the new generation of coin collectors. If you had bought many of them, you will be rich.

That's how you make money. A superb saving method. Converting your hard earned paper money into those collectible tangible assets is smart investing. You will increase your income significantly.

Grading coins are performed by three grading companies recognized and accepted by the coin collectors. Coin collectors are from all walks of the lives and from every nation on the earth. They are here to stay.

Any MS 70 collectible coins other than American The Beautiful quarters also demands premimum prices. The prices always double and triple the value of the next lower grade, MS 69!

An example is US Mint's 2010 Boy Scout 1 oz. silver coin. The back of that coin shows Boy Scout emblem. The front depicts three young unisex members of Boy Scout organization. Those disappearing MS 70 Boy Scouts coins is now $130 having climbed from last year's $99. MS 69 Boy Scouts is about $50 now. See the difference?

For me, to complete the entire key years of American The Beautiful quarters over a decade, I must search and grab graded MS 70 quarters available faster. As time pass, you waited, they would be already gone.

I'm prepared to consistently buying a set of those five quarters every year for a decade. Mind you, they don't grade many quarters like them in MS 70. They're worth your time, challenge and investment.

And when your future come calling, you would have premium resaleables. And your money would be at the end of rainbow. A perfect time to be a retirement millionaire.

And to make that challenge more enjoyable, think of them as collecting coins. It's a great wealth buidling hobby. Coin collecting open up a whole new world of knowledge and assets possession.

Get started in coin collecting now and you will smile in a decade. Hmm...I better find more MS 70 state quarters. I feel they will be gone in no matter of time.

    • A Close Encounter of The Fox Kind.
      • "O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the deserts" Eze. 13:4. "And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air [have] nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay [his] head." Mat 8:20

Red Fox Pup(s) Morro Bay, CA 27 May 2008

I was distressed to learn foxes are the most hunted dogs in the entire world. In every nation, innocent foxes are considered vermins. Some even went far to make a sport at hunting them down with bigger dogs. And worst of all, to possess their furs, something I wouldn't desire to wear it.

Truly, a dog eat dog event. Absolutely disgusting, if I would tell you. Surely, you would know. You would have deja vu, sure enough. Because you have been in that situation before, just like them, foxes.

Foxes are one of my favorite dogs, that are, wild dogs. I have encountered them throughout my life. They are blessing in sight to behold. The instrinic handworks of our Creator a long gone ago revealed itself through them foxes.

My greatest encounter with that awesome creature was in Rochester, New York around 1985. I was walking in the neck of the woods behind a Rochester Institute of Technology campus next to a large cornfield.

Heading back to my dormitory, I was treading on a well worn path through thickly densed foliage. Suddenly, I saw a small furry thiing bobbing out of the hole in the ground ahead of me. I stopped and stood still.

I held my breath, walked backward near the foliage, and struggled to remain still. I was trying to be like those bushes. About 10 minutes later, small furry head finally emerged. He was looking hard to find me.

I realized it was a fox pup. Finally, he slowly climbed out of its hole and show himself. I was literally blown away. Beautiful and majestic. A rare puppy, if you will, the one you cannot have.

That cub detected me and dashed back into its hole. I want to see more so I stayed longer, remaining still and breathing slowly. It's hard to do it after having held my breath that long. You would be panting like a wild deer.

The cub came out of hole again, stood still and looked at me. He moved his head in my direction, its eyes behelding me, and its nose sniffing my scent. I was about 10 feets away.

The time I spent with my new friend was priceless. It's like watching a wildlife documentary on television. Only I was on the scene with that fox in the wood. Live! Action!

Then I resumed walking. That fox pup, I called him, Henry, darted back into its hole. And as I walked past that hole, I saw several other holes. Foxes dens! Smart they are, indeed. Wow!

Then I looked back and saw Henry peeking at me, his handsome head slightly above the hole on the ground. Frightened Henry was, I sensed. I waved and said "goodbye, Henry".

I long to see any fox again simply to praise our Creator and recreate that experience again. Blessed be Creator. And why did IT allow that fox to be greatly persecuted by its own larger breeds and humans, I will never know.

Isn't Creator trying to tell me to love one another, in other words, love my neighbors? Therefore, remind yourself, in that dog eat dog world, love one other and do good to other.

That act of random kindness is the highest good deed you could merit. If those foxes have voices, they surely will speak and warn us.

    • Eating at Totonno's Pizzeria
      • I sometime visit the original Totonno's in Brooklyn's renowned Coney Island. They make great pizza. And Totonno's is quite expensive. Be prepared to bring hundred dollars in cash!

The map below pinpoints one of Totonno's Manhattan restaurants around 80th Street in Upper East Side. If you want to, check out its website at
        http://www.totonnos.com/index-2.html

I love eating one of Totonno's traditional thin pizza, Margherita, at its Coney Island's original flagship restaurant. Margherita is topped with mozzaralla cheese, tomato, grated cheese, and olive oil.

Totonno's has three more other restaurants in New York City area. In eastern Manhattan, two restaurants are at different blocks on the same street, 2nd Avenue.

The other one is in Yonkers. It is a small city in southern Westchester County that borders Bronx. Yonkers is really far away and out of way from where I lives.

Totonno's pizza are special and unique because they incorporates corn flour as an ingredient in their doughs. They really tastes great and fascinating. Very pricey, they indeed are, commanding an average $20 per pie.

And Totonno's pizza are addictive. You couldn't forget its tastes and would crave for it again and again. Just something different for a change. In fact, writing about Totonno's is tempting enough to go down to Coney Island by subway and get that pizza I want to eat.

Futhermore, where else could you find great tasting pizza consisting of corn flour? And not to mention, New York City tap water is also one of ingredient in their doughs just like any New York City pizza doughs. It seems our tap water contribute enormously to our pizza flavor complex.

Bianca and Neapolitan are Totonno's other pizza versions. They are still fabulous, too. Bianca is like Margherita except fresh garlics are used. For Neapolitan, fresh oregano is topped.

Of course, you can ask for more toppings from anchovies to zucchini. Just keep in mind that some toppings are $5.00 each and others at $8.00 (like shrimp for example). The more toppings you asked for, the higher price you pay for.

Totonno's have other entrees on its menu like appetizers, salads and pastas. I will not elaborate more on them since we are just talking about pizza only. Smile. I can assure you they are really excellent Italian American foods!

If you didn't eat at Totonno's when you were here in New York, you are missing the soul of real New York.

    • Dreaming The Print Shop of The Future.
      • On a hot sultry summer night in August 1998, I was sleeping like a log on my bed in my air conditioned bedroom. Northern Virginia, 15 miles west of Washington, D.C., was where I lived before I moved to New York. And I was married and had a daughter during that time.

I received an enlightening prophetic dream that actually manifested itself in my real life in the future.

The photo below is not the exact scene in my dream. I am just illustrating what a manufacturing warehouse look like.

British Ceramic Tile - Somar Eluma

In my prophetic dream, I saw me, the future me, appeared in a large white walled manufacturing plant. It was 12 years ago or around 1998.

I saw neat rows of 6 red painted AB Dick offset lithographic one color printing presses. They appeared to be arranged in perfect order strategically for manufacturing purpose, just like an auto assembly plant.

I noticed all those red AB Dick presses running simultaneously and thousand sheets of white papers were being outputted on each press's feeders. I did not see neither operators around those presses nor people inside that building.

As I approached a printing press close to me that was running, I looked at the papers that were being outputted. I was not able to decipher images on those papers.

But I saw it was black and white and definitely not four colors. I looked around and everything was a blur. I was not able to see details around me.

I noticed gray concrete floor those presses stood on when I looked down. After looking down at the floor, my dream stopped suddenly and awakened me.

I said to myself, "What a strange dream! I saw the printshop of the future! Wow, nothing ever look like that before!".

Fast forward 12 years, I experienced my strongest deja vu on my first day at work in a manufacturing plant. I saw the same white warehouse wall in the background. And I saw all the printng presses strategically positioned in neat orders.

Those presses are not painted red. Instead of old AB Dick lithographic presses in my dream, they are all high speed digital printing presses. And they indeed outputted large volume of black and white imaged documents.

The company I am working for is a large Internet based printing corporation. And I realized I finally had arrived at the printshop of the future and had fulfilled my prophetic dream.

I was utterly speechless. My mind was bogging. And my jaw literally dropped to the floor. I affirmed my deja vu while I gradually internalized my 1998 prophetic dream in my mind.

Today, I am not the same person I was. My late wife was deceased and my daughter all grown up. And what's more? I love working at my print shop of the future.
